SOURCES & TRANSPARENCY

Editorial policy

How FinMarket distinguishes sourced facts, its own analysis, publication dates and timestamped financial data.

Primary publications and FinMarket briefings

News briefings summarize facts reported in linked original publications, including official institutional releases. The source name and original publication link appear with the story. Additional sources provide supporting context where listed. FinMarket writes its summaries and analysis with attribution to those publications.

Facts, interpretation and uncertainty

Factual claims and figures are tied to the listed sources. Paragraphs labeled “FinMarket analysis:” set out FinMarket’s own interpretations; they are not quotations or views attributed to those sources. “What to watch:” highlights questions, risks or possible developments and does not establish that an outcome will occur. An interpretation can change as new evidence emerges.

Two dates with different meanings

The original release date belongs to the source publication. The FinMarket brief publication / review time records when the summary or analysis was prepared or reviewed. Updating a snapshot does not turn an older source release into a newly published event.

Market data and chart coverage

Market quotes show their data provider and observation timestamp. Price charts use recorded observations from the displayed source; missing histories are marked unavailable. Gold and Brent listings refer to futures contracts, not spot prices. Snapshot collection time can differ from each quote’s source time.

Data is delayed and does not stream live. If a refresh fails, a retained verified quote can remain visible with its original timestamp and a retained-quote label. Indicative display currency conversions use the saved foreign-exchange snapshot.

Images and source attribution

Editorial photographs illustrate topics. They are not presented as photographs of the specific events described by a publication. Source links identify the original publisher; they do not imply endorsement of FinMarket or agreement with its interpretations.

Educational scope and commerce

Financial briefings and market snapshots provide general information, not personalized investment recommendations. Digital product listings, reviews, business metrics, account profiles, memberships and orders are demonstrations. FinMarket does not collect payments through this concept.

Corrections and contact status

When reviewing a briefing, compare its factual claims and dates with the original and additional publications linked on the story page. This prototype has no connected support inbox; the contact preview explains that limitation. Browser-local admin edits cannot overwrite sourced news summaries.
